Outbid the Outbid (outbidtheoutbid.lol, "the site", "we") is an independent website. By creating an account, buying credits or taking the throne you agree to these terms, to the Refund Policy and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
1. What this is
The site has one featured position, "the throne". Whoever holds it has their name, link and one-line pitch shown to every visitor until someone else takes it. It is a promotional placement and a game. It is not an auction, an investment, a lottery or a financial product, and nothing here is a promise of traffic, clicks, sales or any return.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. One person, one account. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to the email address you sign in with, because sign-in links are sent there.
3. Credits
- Credits are the only way to pay on the site. Credits are counted in US dollars: every dollar you pay buys a dollar of credits. Packs start at $5.00.
- Credits are a prepaid right to use the site. They are not money: they cannot be withdrawn, cashed out, exchanged, sold, gifted or transferred to another account, and they earn no interest.
- Credits do not expire while the site is running.
- Credits can only be spent on the throne. There is nothing else to buy.
4. The throne and the price
- The price to take the throne is fixed by a public ladder and shown on the button. It starts at $1.00 and every claim raises it by one step: $0.10 below $10, $0.50 below $100, $1 below $1,000, $10 below $10,000 and $100 above that. See Pricing.
- When you take the throne, credits equal to the price are moved from your wallet and locked on the throne. If the price changed between the page you saw and your click, the claim is refused and nothing is taken.
- When someone else takes the throne, every credit you locked is returned to your wallet, immediately and in full. You can spend them again. There is a short cooldown before you can reclaim.
- You are buying the position for as long as you hold it. That can be days or seconds. We do not guarantee any minimum time, and a short reign is not grounds for a refund: your credits came back.
- Every reign is recorded permanently and publicly in the Chronicle, with the name and link as they were at the time.
5. What you may put on the throne
Your listing is shown to the public under your responsibility. It must not be or link to anything that is:
- illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or a scam, including fake giveaways and phishing;
- malware, or a page that tries to install software or harvest credentials;
- sexually explicit, or sexual in any way involving minors;
- hateful, harassing, threatening, or an incitement to violence;
- an impersonation of a person, brand or organisation, or an infringement of someone's rights;
- gambling, regulated financial promotions, weapons, or drugs, where that is unlawful to promote.
We may remove a listing that breaks these rules, or that we reasonably believe puts visitors at risk, without notice. When we do, the reign ends and the locked credits return to your wallet like any dethroning. Repeated or serious abuse can lead to the account being closed. Links are marked nofollow; a listing is not an endorsement by us.
6. Payments
Credit purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, who act as merchant of record: they are the seller shown on your statement, they collect any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live, and their buyer terms apply to the payment itself. We never see or store your card details. Prices are in US dollars; your bank or the checkout may convert to your currency, and tax is added at checkout where required.
7. Refunds, reversals and chargebacks
Credit sales are final, with the exceptions set out in the Refund Policy. Whenever money goes back to a buyer, by refund or by a dispute with their bank, the credits that payment bought are removed from the account. If those credits are locked on the throne at that moment, the reign ends. While a bank dispute on an account is open or lost, that account cannot buy more credits. If you think a charge is wrong, write to us first: it is faster than a dispute and it does not freeze your account.
8. Fair play
Do not attack, overload, scrape at abusive rates, or probe the site for weaknesses; do not automate claims in a way that degrades it for others; do not inflate click counts; do not use stolen payment methods. We may suspend accounts and reverse actions that result from abuse or from a bug. If a technical error credits you with something you did not pay for, we may correct the balance.
9. The public record
The Chronicle, the Hall of Fame and the Ledger are part of the product. By taking the throne you agree that the name and link of your listing, the price, the duration and the click count stay published after your reign ends. The Privacy Policy explains how to have a personal name replaced in that record.
10. Availability and changes
The site is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change the ladder, the pack sizes or these terms for the future; changes never reach back to take credits you already hold. Material changes to these terms are announced on the site before they take effect, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept them.
If we ever close the site for good we will announce it here at least 30 days ahead, and credits stay usable during that time. Because credits are not money and have no cash value, they are not refunded on closure except where the law requires it.
11. Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost traffic or lost data, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for credits in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms removes rights that the consumer law of your country gives you and that cannot be waived.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and its courts have jurisdiction, without taking away any mandatory protection you have under the law of the country where you live.
